This is from an actual news article: http://www.cnn.com/2002/US/04/30/pagans.vs.christians.reut/index.html
This is about the incident where some Pagans were having a ceremony and some xtians showed up to protest. The quote I took out is just too funny to leave alone.
quote: They interrupted a sacred ritual, she told Reuters. "When we yelled 'Sacrifice the chocolate rabbit' they jumped out of their parked cars and started to circle us.

Hmph, obviously some fundies who haven't spent any time around women.
There's a motercycle gang called the Pagans, isn't there? Like to see those assholes interrupt one of their meetings!

They should have used the chant that a group of college Pagans used on Campus Crusade for Christ. After a brief attempt at correcting the lies spread about their religion and dressed in black robes, they circled the group denouncing their faith and chanted "N - E - S - T - L - E - S Nestles makes the very best." ala Gregorian Chant. The fundies couldn't handle extreme sarcasm and left.

Oh great. Now I'm gonna be chanting the Nestles' theme all day.
But getting back to the article: This is a good example of what turns me off most about Christianity, the Christians.

quote: He [Lancaster Sheriff's Capt. Tom Pigott] said the slow response time had nothing to do with Pagans calling for help. "It was a busy Saturday with plenty of emergencies and a noise complaint was low on our priority list," he said. A town meeting was held earlier this week with state and local leaders to hash out a peaceful solution to the dispute.
I used to be stationed at Edwards AFB which is not far from Lancaster. It's in the CA high desert and not exactly on most people's "must visit" list. I'm pretty sure the only thing keeping the police busy was waiting for the afternoon batch of Krispy Kreme donuts to finish frying, and maybe chasing a stray coyote out of town.
