He is also associated with fundies. There used to be an endorsement somewhere on the site in which some bible thumper says that this wondrous water must be exactly the same as the water present at the creation, or some such crap.

I think the people who buy it bother me the most. I can claim, with a totally straight face, (never play cards with me) that there is an efreet in my kitchen. Doesn't cost me a dime. I can offer you his services. The fact that someone would take my word for this and give me money is very bothersome. You don't think there's people out there who would buy this. I've got a bridge for you.
Most of the charlatanism would disappear if people would stop for about a nanosecond and just THINK. The sad fact that there's so many that don't, gosh, I don't know whether to be sad or angry. Heck, both.

Amen to that, Lisa (am I allowed to say "amen" here?)
Having someone willing to take advantage of suckers is one thing...but the fact that there are suckers out there who will buy into this, or magnet therapy, or psychic fiends (sic), or etc etc etc...is the scariest part of the deal.

Being a spectroscopist by trade, the bit about "far infrared enhanced water" had me laughing so hard that I fell off of my chair.
Then it struck me that it sounds scientific and therefore some gullible lay people may fall for it and actually think that some sort of scientific research was done to prove this. What ever happened to the truth in advertising laws, or do they only apply to claims that make sense but are untrue.

Of course, this baloney happens all of the time, and there are laws which are meant to prevent it. However, what government has the money to prosecute so many, many cases? It is up to the individual not to permit himself/herself/itself to be bamboozled. The stupid/ignorant/silly people who fall for such baloney deserve to be fleeced. People go to their temples, churches, synagogues, meeting houses, circus sideshows, etc., and get fleeced all of the time.
