You know I didn't realize it was on by default. I will take it off until some more feedback comes in.

Well shame on me then LOL
I keep hoping someone will come up with a good poll. Asking the right question turns out not to be so easy.

Should we all tell our congressmen that? Would be nice if enough people did.

Censorship has it's place.
I don't want to be censored by a government. If my employer chooses (and it does choose) to prevent my use of web sites, that's fine. It's my employer's machines, so it's rules. But when I go home, I don't want my ISP to censor anything. I want to censor what my children have access to (and I do). Guess I am a hypocrit when it comes to censorship, I want my freedom, and the ability to limit the freedoms of others. I justify it by thinking that I don't want my kids as corrupted as I am, it's in their best interest. This is likely the thinking of those who would censor me, shield me from the evils of the world. But damnit, I enjoy *some* evils.

Most words considered to be *naughty* are not actually thought to be that way by the user. My late husband loved the *F* word and would pepper his speech with it. I told the nurses in the hospital that when he began using the *F* word, he was getting better. During his last hospitalization (quite awhile ago), he failed to use the *F* word once. I simply had always let it go in one ear and out the other. Now, I miss it a lot. The *F* word had no real meaning. It was a punctuation mark of some kind for him.
I, myself, prefer to call nasty jerks *steatopygic coprophagous troglodytes*. Actually, however, I leave jerks alone, because they can be very dangerous if provoked.

Isn't it funny how a word loses it's effect if it is used too much. When I was growing up all the kids would say fing this and fing that to the point that you hardly notice.
I don't say it much but when I do around people that know me it is noticed right away

Now that I'm in the civilian world, I've really had to start censoring myself. For truly poetic swearing, hang out at a military installation. Since we move around so much, we're not limited to one language. Lisa

Hehe.. I know what you mean. Whenever I teach a class, I begin by asking who is offended if I swear. I try to turn on my personal "naughty words filter," but it doesn't always work. I really don't feel too bad about it, though, since nobody tells me it bothers them, and I believe the kids think it's cool that the guy teaching their Physics class cusses like a Sailor.
