You're correct, that was a very long post.

I noticed one constant amongst all his posts. Whenever you'd back him into a corner, he'd trot out god or the bible. As a participant and victem of many flame wars, here's a bit of advice: quit wasting your time.
I thought your arguments were excellent. However, when arguing with someone like this, they still feel they've scored the points by simply stating "That's not what I believe". For example, I noticed the gentleman sees nothing wrong with even contradicting himself, so long as it keeps his deity-inspired worldview intact. No amount of evidence will sway a person like this.
My favorite part was where he states that man cannot travel faster than the speed of light, but angels can. Did he ever provide anything like, oh, I dunno, proof or evidence for this statement? Like I said, your post was indeed long, and I may have missed that reply.

We have enough youth. We need a fountain of smart.

Again i am sorry for the length of the post. But I felt that it was so frustrating and humorous that others might enjoy. Plus , I honestly wanted to know if my line of logic was, well, logical. I know I shouldn't have wasted my time, but in my opinion, he drew first blood by by his original tripe. I felt that I couldn't condense and give third parties the chance to look at the entirety of all the posts and make their judgments. Honestly, I am not very confident in my ability to think critically and argue logically.

Even if there is just one person who might read what you've posted and realize that they've been wrong/mislead/what-have-you by so-called "supernatural" and pseudoscientific nonsense, you've not wasted your time at all.

But unfortuatly, IMO it's true, people like that are not going to change their minds. I agree with Lisa.
Even if one should change, is it worth it really? Like using a bomb to kill a bug when a fly swatter will do.
Anyone so inclined to change will eventually doubt their beliefs, long post won't be the turning point.
However, to make you feel better, it's interesting to read and gives encouragement to those who back what you say.

And I see that it is pro-superstition, Anti-science, anti Einstein "Webi/Floro" that ends up calling you names, while you basically kept your cool. Rather than get high blood pressure, relax now and enjoy Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto (or whatever fine, delightful achievement you wish,) and be assured that you made an impression on others who read your replies.

That really is why these things are important. You can't debate facts only opinions. While you stand little chance of changing the debaters mind it is really the silent audience that counts.
I remember standing by in the background when a ten minute "debate" like this went on in my freshman year of college. I never said a word, at the time, but it changed my life.

I think in time we will find that many of Einstiens therories opened the door to modern physcis they will be ultimately inaccurate and it will have nothing to do with God. Just ignorance because we have not yet been to a point to provr or disprove them.

In fact, angels travel at tremendous speeds, far exceeding the limits of the physical universe

I wonder how it is that he knew this? Supernatural radar gun perhaps?
If you talk to him again find out how many angels actually can dance on the head of a pin. And what sort of high speed dance do they do?

It may seem a bit strange to some Slater, but apparently they have talent at their chosen profession.

I'm a Safety Engineer. Been doing it for over 25 years. Sometimes I wish I'd have become a recording engineer in a studio, cause I like music a lot, but I stayed with what put food on the table.

Sorry for the mini-hijack, but maybe Webi/Floro is just doing what he/she enjoys most.
