I was just wondering with Sept11 only a few days away, does anyone have any predictions about what if anything will happen that day. Personally, if I were a terrorist the idea of hitting the US again on the 1 year anniversery would be very tempting. At the same time highly predictible and therefore probobly more dificult to execute! Just wondering what everyone else was expecting on the big day..... peace, or another attack?

Can I make my postdiction on Sept 12?

Sure you can, Trish! Just claim that you had predicted it a week before, but are just then announcing it.

I think the speculation about another 9/11 attact will sell lots of newspapers. Additionally, it will give the talking head hair spray addicts on TV something to yammer about.
Been watching any TV news? The hype has already started. I had to laugh at a poll I saw on CNN. They were asking people what they were going to do on 9/11/2002. The answers were: Attend a memorial service, watch a memorial service on TV, work fewer hours, and I forget the last one.
I didn't see the option that applies to me: Live my life and not let a bunch of rag-head religious fanatics dictate my actions.
Back to your question. No I don't think anything will happen on 9/11. Tempting as it may be, any terrorist is going to realize that our security is going to be somewhere between "ludicrous" and "paranoid".

We have enough youth. We need a fountain of smart.

I was reading on one news site (CNN or BBC, can't recall) that Al Queda doesn't have a history of using anniversaries of previous attacks to stage new attacks. They obviously understand the element of surprise and unpredictability. But I wouldn't put it past some other terrorist group or individual to try something.

What will happen is a deluge of "specials" by the media attempting to drive up their ratings. I'm all for a day of remembrance but doubt media coverage is truly due to patriotic altruism.

Then Trish can be a guest on The Larry King Show.

Well...no, actually you don't because then you'd be in the same company as (name held out at arms length like old gym socks,) John Edward -- who was actually on Larry's show last night taking calls, answering questions from relatives of the dearly departed.
Gosh, I remember when I was a kid listening sometimes late at night to Larry King on radio. He was much more objective then. His guests included noted authors, political columnists, artists, film makers, and scientists, such as Carl Sagan, whom I got to ask a question! Larry didn't go in much for mumbo jumbo then. What happened?

I predict that the 11th will be followed by the 12th, with varying degrees of darkness and light and possible changes in temperature.

If I'm wrong about that, write me and I'll give the first person that writes a dollar. I'll be the sole judge of what's right and wrong, and the dollar must be picked up in person.

According to most of the people here, my address is somewhere between my butt cheeks.
