Oh, man! Verlch, you really need to pull your head outta' that hole, buddy. Your limited grasp of science, language and basic cognitive skills is why we have secular schools. Man, expand your mind, (and your vocabulary). Read a book, even if it's the Bible! You can begin with the book of Exodus, and notice that it was God--Yes, God--that hardenned Pharaoh's heart. Don't forget that God could have ended all of the suffering with a thought. Instead, he took away the power of Pharaoh to let the Hebrews go by hardening the poor man's heart to the suffering of his people, and to his own son!

Funny how Christians can't even read their own magic book?

Edited to add a couple of dashes...I thought it would dash things up a bit. I always wanted to be dashing, but my wife keeps calling me an "over-the-hill hippie" But, look out Errol Flynn! Here I come!

Wow now I'm confused and that was 1 Trillion years ago right? Gottcha!!! Wow I'm a believer. All this monkie love, has got me seeing monkies!!!! Since there is all those half fish half elephant monkies walking around, sign me up baby, cause now I'm really confused, the "mutant" that I am. Chaos in the flesh. Silley humans, when will your breed mute itself.

lolol

I say Verlch,
very well said sir! 'tis indeed an example of the more eloquent examples of the mastery of the english word.

It amazes and saddens me to think there are so many like Verlch. They used to make me angry, now... I simply get amused.
Science is possibly, man's greatest discovery. I, for certain can think of no other nominee. When it's done properly it's balletic almost. Can you just imagine a time without it. Can you remember the time when you didn't know it. I wanted to know why grass is green. I had a hunch it wasn't gorilla snot, even at the age of 5. Why is the sky blue? What IS blue? light, reflection, electric, blah blah blah.

So how can these anti-science, sandal wearing, poor-South-American-Village-pillaging, anti free-will lovin', liars, turn their back on it so readily.
Imagine the scene, some fundie leaving the ER after a debate with an evil-utionist. (It didn't get nasty, the fundy turned to his favoured duelling iron too early, it was a case of over exhuberant bible bashing.)
Fundie fumbling in his pocket reaching for his mobile 'phone, about to call a man in a dress, for chrissakes.
"Reeevereeeend, I done been facing the devil agiiiin".
"Gotta keep up the good fight booooy, those evil people think science is the answer to everything, don't they just know that the good lord provided us with all we ever needed 4000 years ago. Hope you put 'em straight boy!"
"Yeees Sireeee, Reeevereeeend sir, I did! I done punched ma bilble till my nuckles done started bleedin' all by themselves. I knewed it to be a sign. Why, jesus had bleedin nuckles, I done seen it in a picture once. I tell you Reeevereeeend, it was a miracle!"
"Well done booy, your reward will be in heaven. You done booked yourself a seat at the right hand of the lord. Oh! that reminds me, we're having a 'Scare-and-prey-on-the-ignorant-night' I done need some more donations for my new gold plated choir-boy rammer! Don't forget now boy, science is evil, those damn evil evolutionist, good lord denying hussys. Gotta go now boy, my micro meal and freshly chilled beer are done, gonna settle me down in front of my CRT projector and giant screen and watch the game I tivo'd last night."

So readily, will they turn their back on science that disagrees with their indoctrination, yet they embrace it when it suits.
They refuse to believe repeatability, testability, falsifiability, yet embrace some story told by a geezer wearing a dress!!!

God does indeed move in mysterious ways.

ps
Did anybody else (whilst reading his last post) feel him lose it. BIG TIME. I was pissing myself as i read it!! Funniest thing in years.
