In the Saskatchewan Legaslature today, the official opposition (the Saskatchewan Party), are calling that we scale back funding on our already underfunded socialist healthcare system, and put government funding into alternative medicine, such as acupuncture, homopathy, aromatherapy, etc.
They think that the public will support this decision because lots of people go to these places, and now they can do it for free.
What a load of (non homopathic) crap!

This is actually quite insulting considering that I also live in Saskatchewan. They're basically taking money out of something that is proven to work and putting it into alternative medicines, most of which have little or no medical basis and no proof that these techniques are even effective.
What's more is that the health care system is already underfunded, that's why we have problems with nurses going on strike. Screw the people who actually want the alternative medicine, if they want it make them pay for it themselves, not the rest of us. |
