On January 24 at 11:00 PM ET/PT SHOWTIME will present the controversial new series PENN & TELLER: BULLSHIT! Master showmen Penn & Teller promise an aggressive, irreverent expose of taboo topics using the duo's trademark humor, knowledge of carnival tricks and con-artistry, as well as hidden cameras and blatant confrontation.

Using undercover operatives, scrupulous research and a healthy dose of skepticism, the Vegas headliners and world-famous magicians blow the lid off popular notions about alien abductions, Ouija boards and end of the world predictions. They expose the bogus science behind such widely accepted canards as creationism, the purity of bottled water, global warming, miracle-workers and religious cults.

This is one I have been really looking forward to.

I just watched this last night. The subject was psychics who talk to the dead.

Mother fucking hilarious! (You'll appreciate my profanity if you caught the show )

They do an excellent job of debunking the likes of John Edward and James Van Praagh.

I got a Season Pass on TiVo so I wouldn't miss any upcoming eps, but so far only one other show is scheduled, on alternative medicine. I'm looking forward to it a lot, as they're going to discuss magnet therapy, which I find particularly annoying.

I almost went out and got Showtime just for this, but I didn't. Hopefully, someday it will be out on tape.

Perhaps my favorite part was Penn's emphasis and passion and digust he expressed when talking about how these people are exploiting other people's grief for money.

This is something that really needs to be stressed when confronted by the "but they make people feel better, even if it is fake" crowd.

If you missed the first episode, it will repeat on Feb. 6 at 10:30 on Showtime.

Or, if you can't wait, you can view in on the Infidel Guy's page:

Caught the second show.

Fantastic! They have done an excellent job of making their points clear and succinct (both P&T and their excellent selection of skeptical commentators). I really hope this show has enough interest by viewers to keep it going for a while.

They had a Chiropractic nutjob on there who admitted (and is apparently proud of the fact) that he does "manipulations" on children, and even newborns. Penn was very serious during that segment, and his digust was clear and powerful to the viewers. They really should have called 911...

Tonights episode on creationism was great! See it if you get a chance.

It could have been better, Kil. They didn't even mention "Dr. Dino." Of course, talking about Hovind's nuttiness could take up a whole half-hour show just by itself...

I think half-hour is key here. They got a lot of cluck for their buck. Gish was pathetic...
