This could work well in the humor forum also....

Those prayers pile up
January 13 2003

(Hemorrhoid) sufferers are flocking to a church in Portugal in the belief they will be cured by exposing their afflicted behinds to the statue of a local saint.

Maybe they should try the biblical remedy for "emerods", as given in 1 Samuel 6:4-5.

Amador said that several years ago a young woman with severe acne wanted to pray nude in the church but that the local priest would not allow it because he was "a bit conservative".

Actually he was just disappointed because it wasn't a young boy wanting to strip nude, so he thought it wasn't worth it.

(sorry for the shot at the church but I just couldn't help it)

Someone going to a nationally televised NFL football game should make a poster with that verse and hold it up in the crowds for the cameras to see, as they do with that other verse - "John something, something", ad nauseum.

Great idea Randy! Of course, there are very many other crude and disgusting verses that need to be publicly aired, since xtians are seldom told about anything but the pablum. Prehaps we could initiate a campaign to encourage skeptics of all stripes to do exactly as you suggest! We must expose the bible for what it is, anything but a "good" book.
