Could anybody give me an explanation of the Message Icons we can choose from when posting replies/topics? I assume they are more than decorative..
Also, what are the criteria for being a new member vs. a member etc.? I joined the SFN back in 2001, but have only recently resurfaced after being abducted by aliens from Minnesota..

Actually, the message icons are just decorative. The intent is to, I dunno, set the mood of the post maybe?
