This may originally be an April 1st joke. It is "April fools day" here in Sweden too.
I haven't been able to verify it yet, and will wait to do so until tomorrow (April 2nd).
Just so that you know and don't fall for it the way I have, if it is a joke.

Anyway, today I encountered a woman handing out small slips of paper in Swedish saying (and I will be nice enough to translate it for you):
quote:
Do you know where you come from? An ape?
It have come to light that the evolution theory in many ways rests on old "facts" that now can be seriously questioned. How does your world-view and values change if you are created and not a product of chance. Geoscientist Mats Molén talks about the theme "Our Origin?" from a directly decisive perspective!

The note also had a listing of the date, times and location where this man is supposed to speak. First appearance is on Tuesday w.15 at 12:10 (umm... that is 10 minutes past noon. Would that be AM or PM? I will -never- get the hang of that. I know that AM is short for "ante meridiem" or "before midday" and PM is short for "post meridiem" or "after midday". My guess would be PM since 10 minutes past noon is "after midday". Right?)
A quick search on the name "Mats Molén" shows that yes, there is such a person, and he is a creationist (all the while being a science teacher!). I am quite sure that college got a lecture-room "named" E-105 but haven't checked that yet. They do have an "E"-building.

If this is serious I will try to ask a few pointed questions.
Is the Bible infailable in all aspects? (Yes or No.)
Why doesn't poodles or bullterrier appear naturally among the wild canines? Or Belgian Blue*?
Can he give a definite list of -all- the animals on the arc of Noa?
Is the bat really an egglaying fowl as the bible say, or a flying rodent?
How about the platypus? What kind of animal is that according to the bible?
If a worldwide flood occured, how come that neither the ancient Egyptians nor the Chinese civilisations wrote anything about it. And if they were wiped out then their quite advanced civilisations must have been retaken smoothly of some of the sons of Noa, but which one went were? (I guess he will answer that most of those civilisations history is faked.)

I will probably not ask him this, but I sure is tempted to ask: "Was God stoned when the platypus was made?" Just look at it! Duck-feet, duck-bill, beaver-fur, beaver-like tail, lays egg yet gives milk the young.

*Belgian Blue is a european "monster" cattle (or at least the bulls I have seen are) that's so over-mouscled it have trouble getting onto its feet if it lays down.

I remember hearing that Belgian Blue is "monsterous" because has a genetic disorder that makes it grow a twin-brother-muscle for every normal muscle. Think of Arnold Schwartznegger when he was at his biggest, then let him have a diet of steroids a year, and then imagine a bull with the same amount of muscles. For a while it was (i'm not sure if it still is) forbidden to breed BB in Sweden, because carrying and delivering was considered to be cruelty to animals. Calfs were delivered by ceasarean section.
They are bred for the very high (meat,protein)-to-fat ratio.

One of the better pictures on the web can be found at Wood Valley Belgian Blue website. Doing an AlltheWebsearch will turn up scads of Belgian Blue associations.

Great googly moogly! That would make one hell of an earth roast, wouldn't it?!

Hey Phonix, if it's righteous and you go, ask the guy why we still topsoil. Noah's Folly, to have been as described, would have to have had an accululation of water to the tune of over 11 feet per minute (and I'm told that this might be low). That ain't rain, bro, that's hydrolic mining. All the topsoil would have ended up in the Mariannas Trench, or somewhere else deep, and 4000 years would not have replaced it. Also, N. & company would have starved to death (if not devoured by various, large predators) as soon as the last of the fresh meat ran out. Ya can't grow spuds on bedrock.

Might also ask him why one of Darwin's finches is a vampire.

Have a blast!

OOops.

What a mistake I've made, but then I've had a lot of my mind lately.

The whole thing was an April Fools joke.
I should have told the forum here the same day I had found that out.

Oh well. Things happens.

I guess you weren't skeptical enough...
As you say, shit happens. Good April Fools jokes seem rare these days, perhaps that's why some of them are hard to spot.
I tried to fool the other members of my sports bike club that I sold my superbike and bought a Harley Davidson Electra-Glide, but it didn't work.
