Here's a little something to give you an idea how the US keeps its promises to rebuild a country after a war: Taliban 'back' in Afghanistan

So what can Iraq expect from us? I think they should be very leary of US promises, in the light of this news!

I'm not surprised. Afghanistan is not exactly high on the list of priorities for the US' or many other nations. We made our point, won an easy war, made a half-hearted stab at nation building, and we're now only interested in showing that we've really got Osama on the run.

What more do we need. Dubya has Iraq to keep his polls up. He learned that from Dad. Ache Dubya's great numbers followed Panama and then Iraq 1, but he messed up when Iraq 1 finished long before election time.

Actually, I kinda liked Ache Dubya after his "Voodoo economics" comment. Too bad he had to have gotten himself in deep with Iran-Contra. Now, Junior's got to pass executive orders countermanding previous legislation to save Dad's ass.

Ah, the amazing world of politics.

"We got an issue in America. Too many good docs are gettin' out of business. Too many OB/GYNs aren't able to practice their -- their love with women all across this country." Dubya in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, 9/6/2004
