Sorry to be constantly pestering you people, but this is just too funny (I think?) to pass up:
http://www.tccsa.freeservers.com/adventure/fair.html

Just read this:

quote:
Science Fair

The Scientific Method and Home School Science Fair procedures.

I. Purpose. Propose a question or problem for which you are seeking an answer.

II. Hypothesis. Turn your question or problem into a statement that presents the solution in such a way that it can either be proved or disproved (falsified).

III. Research. Gather information and plan your experiment that will prove or disprove your hypothesis.

IV. Experiment. Get equipment and conduct your experiment.

V. Conclusion. Present what you have discovered.

VI. Display construction. Make your board and table display.

VII. Science Fair Day. You as the presenter are the key to a great Science Fair Day.

Five things to remember:
1. Know your material.
2. Be Confident.
3. Communicate well.
4. Be thorough.
5. Pray your exhibit will witness to non-Christian visitors.

quote:
7. February 15 - 16, 2003: our science fair presentation at Har-Mar Mall in a public-secular setting for three reasons:

1) To promote home schools,
2) To show that Homeschool students can do good science.
3) To present our science fair project to non-Christian people. This should be a great Gospel outreach.

We heard about one lady who saw the Science Fair displays at the Mall. She began to read some of the verses on the displays and was convicted to start attending church and get right with God. There are probably other stories like this we have not heard but it shows the power of God's Word through our program.

I like this strawman:
quote:
Evolutionists ask this question:
How can I prove that evolution is true (and God does not exist). This may not be stated in this way, but is inferred by their writings. Darwin and others have said that if evolution is true, there is no need for God.

Creation scientists need to ask this question:
What can I learn about myself, God, and God's plan for the universe as I study His creation today. I believe true science is a way to learn more about God and ourselves. It is a living class room in which God is the Instructor and we the students. Jesus used common things in nature to illustrate his principles as he taught.

The Bible says, "The fear of God is the beginning of knowledge." God will not honor scientist's work if they do not honor Him. Some of the greatest scientific breakthroughs and discoveries were made by Christian men and women.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

You have to start training early, before the real world get's their 'evilutionary' hooks into 'em. Plus, keep 'em in home school. That way you can hide 'em from the world until they grow up, get hitched, and later on move out of Ma and Pa's Christian home, to start a brand new crop of lttle paranoid zealots.

Now, if a good atheist like me used quotes from the Bible to show the ridiculousness of many so-called Christian principles, I'd be attacked as some kind of racist or "religousist" for "warping" or "corrupting" their articles of faith and that I was persecuting them. Yet our fundamentalist Christian friends have no problem with abusing scientific principles to push their own warped agenda. What a morally bankrupt bunch.

My favorite among the suggested "Science Fair Creation Science Topics":

These are just a few of the Flood-related questions, and nary a single mention of whether or not the Flood actually happened. It is simply to be assumed, "'cause the Bible tells me so!"

Of course if you conclude that the answer is "yes" to the second question, it's an automatic fail!!!!

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

As any good Creationist knows, we have pimples because Adam "skinned" by eating the forbidden fruit. *groan*

How dare they call this science? Don't they know that by doing these things they are not doing anything good to anyone, except to themselves and their own agendas? The truly nasty thing is how they, on the page with fair ideas, ask some really good questions but now and then sneak in some religious beliefs, as if idly assuming it's correct. Amazing. Don't they see, themselves, where they are going wrong?

Why does it seem to be that the most radicaly blind relgious nuts are the most scientifically illiterate people, yet they believe they understand various scientific disciplines better than people who have spent all their lives studying and researching these very topics?

What is even more mindboggling is how they can't seem to make up their minds as to whether religion or science is the best way. It's funny how they accuse scientists for not being scientific by saying evolution is a matter of faith and not science. And then, they keep on saying, that their own views, that is "christian science", is valid because it has "science" in its name. And also, how many scientists believe in the creation, and that this would somehow give credibility to creation. So I guess the bottomline is that scientists who support irrational religions are credible scientists, whereas scientists who support evolution are in fact people who turn to their own religion. Very weird and confusing.

6. Build and run studies on a strata forming wave tank. This would confirm or disprove strata are all laid down at the same time. See video tape.
7. Does Tanning leather affect C14 content and date?

These are two of my favorites, its quite obvious the intended answer to the "hypothesis". I presume failing grades would be given for any student whose work contradicted a 5000 year old earth.

Also, I'd love to see a grade school kid try to test this:

26. Is energy ever destroyed or created?
