Do you want to retain access to the courts?
Would you like to keep participating in policy issues?
Do you live in Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Guam, or Northern Mariana Islands?
If you live in any of these places, you are in the jurisdiction of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, in which case you might want to write to Senator Feinstein and urge her to vote NO on the nomination of Judge Carolyn Kuhl to this court.

| I don't live out west, but the Senate was successful in a filibuster to block the appointment of Texas Supreme Court Justice Priscilla Owen to the Fifth Circuit Appeals Court. Can lightning strike twice? |

Well, it looks like the vote is tomorrow (May 8), and Feinstein hasn't yet stated what her position is on this, though Boxer has come out in opposition to Kuhl's nomination. We need to call Feinstein today, and urge her to vote NO! to Kuhl.

I'd like to help ya, Walt.....but....I've delt with her office as well as Ms. Bubblehead Boxer. All I can say is, it's hopeless. Probably frustrating is a better word but in any case they don't listen.
Wish there was a smilies on this postings box to show a big sigh of frustration.
I'm reading this tonight, I'll call tomorrow the 8th if you think it will help but I doubt it. She may or may not vote to our liking but it won't be BECAUSE we contacted her with our view. |

Thanks Snake! I just wanted to get the information out, so that people would know about it. I agree that we probably have zero influence with these, or any other, politicians. And you're right, it's very frustrating!  |

Feinstein said yesterday that she will vote against the nomination. Perhaps they only act on reasonable requests?
