And you weren't even psychic enough to know that before you started the test. |

Feh. I guess I too, am a PSI dummy. I couldn't even figger out what the test was supposed to do. I had some really great answers ready, but couldn't find the questions.
Maybe I should'a taken off my tinfoil hat, first. Ya think?

I'm new here, having joined to share thoughts and experiences with those who may question my perspective. By declaring the belief that I have foreseen some events doesn't mean you should believe me. The question of "how" is central to understanding truth, and why I even doubt myself. Probability has it that we may exist in a parallel universe, so there is still room for the mysterious in terms of extra-sensory consciousness. You have to believe it to be seen. |

First of all, Psi Kick, allow me to welcome you to SFN.
Most believers in psi give us a wide berth. Due to our doubting nature it is assumed that we are close minded. Our insistence that the evidence presented go beyond the oft sited anecdotes or wild conjecture can be frustrating for an advocate of psi. We can be a tough crowd. Speaking for myself, I have yet to see any persuasive evidence to support anything paranormal. That doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see such evidence. For obvious reasons, there are rules for what constitute reliable evidence. Otherwise, all claims are on an equal footing and must therefor be regarded as either all true or all false. Have fun....

I was not aware that it was probable that we exist in a parallel universe. Do you have a source for these odds? Coincidentally, I just read a letter from the editor of the "Whole Life Times" who suggested that since scientists have speculated that there are as many as 11 dimensions, that would explain what she termed "the spiritual realm." In one or more of these dimensions the spiritual realm resides, and that somehow we tap into these other dimensions from time to time. There are people who are able, at will, to look into this spiritual realm. She went on to speculate that what we call aliens are in reality inhabitants of one or more of these dimensions.
I have at least two problems with this kind of thinking. First off, since psi has never been demonstrated in any meaningful way, why assign it a home? A home for what? Seems to me that before we go looking for a scientific explanation for paranormal activity, we need to confirm that there is any paranormal activity. And that hasn't been done.
My second objection is the hijacking of highly hypothetical or theoretical physics by non-scientists to explain anything at all. That's pseudo science in a nutshell. |

If it were not for the scientific hijackers and pseudoscientists, we would have little to laugh about (and/or to discuss). Again, I am NOT a scientist (although I came from a long line of physicists, had science in my upbringing, and studied it at university), and I can hardly speak for science and/or for scientists.
