I can't get the individual threads to load on my computer; they get hung up at "noavatar.gif" and nothing further happens apart from just spinning its wheels; when I click the back button, the page appears for a second or so before the previous page appears.

I'm using IE5 on a Mac with OS 9. Is there some way this "noavatar" thingie can be made compatible with this system?

yes, sorry about that. I've been lazy and haven't gone back to a previous, working, avatar system. In the meantime I am just trying to correct avatar issues so the page will load for mac users using that particular browser.
