Here's something I ran across on the Portland Independent Media Center site this afternoon:
Head in the Clouds: Chemtrails and On Being Wrong
I have to admit I was stunned. Apart from IMCs in gneral being a one-stop shop for looniness in general (although they're not as much fun now that Anti-Semites and other assorted hatefreaks have largely drowned out the quacks and kooks), but belief in chemtrails has previously been an article of faith on the Portland IMC. The stories even got featured in the center column.
Comes now "Agent Orange", one of the main "look at the chemtrails today" posters, and it seems (s)he's been doing some reading and thinking...
If anyone's been wondering if all the effort that goes into debunking stuff like chemtrails has any positive effect, or feeling discouraged at how fast the @#$% flows in vs. how fast it can be bailed out, this one's for you.
