My girlfriend, Michelle, needs numbers for her statistics class. So I am posting a survey she created. It would be very helpful to her if you would take a few moments and answer the questions below.
We will tell you what the survey is and the results after the answers have been correlated.

Thanks!

Survey Questions:

1. Age?
2. Gender?
3. Parents level of education?
4. How many people live in your household?
5. Do you consider yourself an extrovert or introvert?
6. Do you prefer background noise while studying or reading?

1) 36
2) Male
3) Father - GED (military) Mother - Associates Degree in Political Science
4) 4
5) Introvert - although I have been successful at becoming more extroverted than I was
6) I like silence when reading/studying but I have learned to work with background noise.

1. 12.
But if you mean physicaly (chronologically), as a gay transvestite, transsexual male I don't tell my age, but if you really have to know, to the best of my knowledge I think I'm about one or two years older than Kil. Deal with it!

2. Male

3. Father, I don't know. I think street smart. He owned his own business. Mother was a RN, so after high school, way back then they called it nursing school. Not like today when they go to college 1st as my RN x-sister did.

4. 2 1/2

5. For the most part, an extrovert but depends on the situation. I've been told that people see me that way but I don't always think I'm that forward.

6. Noise, no. Music or talk radio, yes. Always did homework to music, couldn't study without it. Even when there is nothing loud near by there is always some noise somewhere anyway. Even out in the wide open spaces.

Not wanting to be a smart arse, but how can one be uncertain if they are introverted or extroverted?

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

Gezzam, I'm thinkin' if someone doesn't live in the U.S. or English isn't their dominant language, they might need clarification on the introversion vs. extroversion thing.

My understanding (as an INFJ for you Meyers-Briggs folks) is that introverts generally are drained by interaction with others, while extroverts are energized by it. Also, we introverts tend to live in our heads, while extroverts are more focused on connections with others.

Some people, of course, fall in the middle of this continuum and may really be unsure as to whether they're introverted or extroverted.

After my initial check in Concise Oxford dictionary, I decided to go for introvert, but I'm undecided. I 'm not sure that you can put introvert and extrovert on the opposite side of a scale.
But if I had to, I guess the scale would tip slightly to introvert.

I think, therefore I am. But I think it is our interaction with others that define who we are.

Renae's explanation puts me in the middle.

OH! Then can I change my vote, even though I wear large colorful hats and people look at me all the time, they upset me much. So I guess saying they are draining is correct. And I don't particularry like to connect to others.
Looks like I'm really an introvert and don't know it.
Although being shy most of the time is not one of my traits.
Geessss, who makes up these stupid surveys anyway? LOL.
