Coming from Australia, I want to get an idea of peoples voting trends (if you don't mind me asking) With your elections less than a year away, whom would you vote for?

1) Howard Dean

2) Joseph Lieberman

3) Wesley Clark

4) John Edwards

5) As long as it was Democrat

6) Hey Gezz, what about the Greens?

7) Anyone but Bush

8) Someone from here http://www.americannaziparty.com/

9) Ralph Nader (I don't know if he is running for sure)

10) Bring back the Monarchy.

11) Give the whole damn country back to the original owners. (Silly and economically suicidal I know, but all locals deserve something)

12) I don't give a flying f@#%, unlike your country I don't have to vote so I'll have a Bud instead.

One thing I don't understand is that you have over 10 Democratic candidates and apart from caning Bush, they pay out on each other, In Australia the opposition party chooses a leader over a year before a possible election and the party unites (not always) behind him. I've seen in some polls in the States that an as yet un-named candidate has better numbers than any of the actual ones ……it seems dumb….choose well, choose early and then sell it….avoid uncertainty with potential voters..

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

I voted for Nader last time, and everyone has told me to vote Democrat this time. The only Democrat running is Kucinich. If he doesn't win and change things, I don't know. Norway, maybe?

People think that criminals like Clinton are better than criminals like Bush. At least everyone knows what Bush stands for.

You didn't mention the Libertarians.
The only really practical and serious '3rd' party.
I saw some Democrats a couple of months ago on TV talking about what they would do if elected.
All I can say it......NUTS! They are all nuts. For someone who doesn't know American slang, that means CRAZY....MAD....INSANE.
If anyone of them were to be elected it would be the ruin of capitalism here and the end of the pursuit of happiness, the death of any dreams one might have to get ahead in life. They will tax us untill we bleed. Give anyones hard earned money to others who don't want to work and think everything should be free without effort.
So I guess you know who I WON'T be voting for.
Other than that, I usually look at what each person has to say until near to the election and then make up my mind. So far I've voted stright Libertarian ticket because they at least have a stance, you know if you are voting for someone in that party what they believe in. Unlike the Republicians and Democrats....or rather the Demopublicans.....you don't know at what end of the scale any one person is going to be at no matter what party they are in.
VOTE LIBERTARIAN

Libertarians are Republicans from where I am standing but without the pretension of being "nice" to people.

I'll be voting for a Democrat.

I will also vote for a Democrat. At first I was favoring Dean but if you look at some of the things he has done in the past he becomes less and less attractive. For instance, he is the only Democrat running for President with an excellent rating from the NRA. His recent gaffe about reaching out to racist southerners was also something to think about. Personally I love almost everything Kucinich says but I am well aware that his chances at victory are nill. Now I am looking at Wesley Clark who has a very interesting resume. The man has done a lot and possibly could do a lot more but I will be doing a lot more research before I make a final decision.

But one thing is 100% clear. I will vote for the leading candadite running against Bush. I am more concerned about removing this psycho than anything else right now.

A bit of a stereotype??? @, shame on you! I know for a fact you are so much smarter than that remark.

#7 for me. I'd vote for a little, red hen before I would Bush. We'd get about the same intellect, and we can certainly use the eggs.

Right now, I'm liking General Clark. It might be my military background speaking, but there it is. He's got smarts and dedication, and I think he can do the job.

If he doesn't win, it will be because of all the people that would vote for him only if his chances weren't nil.

I live in the deep south, and I can confirm Dean's comments. That's why I'll pull for Clark. He's white and ex-military. Therefore, in the eyes of the angry white man that owns a pickup that costs more than his house we have a candidate that is a real man. In their eyes, Dean is a whacko liberal and the rest of the pack are Clinton clones. These southern white guys know nothing more than what the company, or the evenning news tells them, unless they get the chance to hear Rush's show in the afternoon.

Welcome to the south....

#14 John Kerry

Clark has denied statements he made post Iraq invasion. What he is saying on the debate stage is demonstratably false but he's hoping, like Bush did, that by saying something enough, people will believe it.

John Kerry is, IMHO, a more honest and electable person. He's not likely to send the military off into a war zone without a very good reason. (Veitnam fast boat skipper, Bronze Star with clusters winner for bravery.) Not likely to ban guns as he hunts, but does advocate reasonable controls on weapons that cannot be used for hunting like AK-47's. He may not have an excellent rating from the NRA for some of his views, but he's not completely anti-gun and he's not pushing socialized medicine as a cure-all.

If not Kerry, then I'll consider the Democratic candidate.

Bush is the only name I recognize in the list. In Sweden I think Republicans would be so much right on the political arena that they would have exited stage right, passed the dressingroom and out into the alley (where they belong).
I used to vote for social democrats in Sweden, but they have moved too much toward right (the center) for my taste.

If Nader runs again, I'll likely vote for him again.

Among the current crop of Democraps, Kucinich looks to be the only one worth a damn. But it's doubtful he'll make it out of the primaries, so I'll probably never have the opportunity to vote for him, anyway.

As for the Repugnicans, I'd rather yank my toenails out with pliers than vote for Dubya. Though, in the absence of a Nader or Kucinich, I'd vote for McCain.

Ya know what? Screw integrity! We need to get rid of Bush and voting for candidates who cannot win is not the way to get the job done. While all of those who voted libertarian or for Nadar can pat themselves on the back for not having voted for Bush, and not voting for the lesser of two evils, it is you who gave us Bush.

Let's please get rid of this psycho. Be pragmatic. After Bush is gone you can go back to being idealistic...

Why do we need to get rid of Bush just to have another Republican like Clinton hang on to NAFTA, criminal foreign policy and rising unemployment and imprisonment? Screw integrity? Can I make a bumper sticker out of that with your name on it?
