....... I've seen this interesting site put forth, here or elsewhere. So, in the intrest of those who've never seen it, here 'tis beginning with a brief exerpt:

From; Things Creationists Hate

quote:
Our Founding Fathers
...because they make creationists appear, shall we say, less than intellectually competent when they toss out a howler like, "George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were creationists!" It makes one want to knock on their heads and call out derisively, "Helllooo! Anybody home in there? In what year did Washington die? When was Origin of Species published?" Old George didn't know about germs, either; and Tom famously stated that he could never believe that stones ever fell from the sky. (Even Charles Darwin accepted the standard creation model of his day--until he learned better.)

Stephen Reese adds: It's not just carbon 14 dates or Jim Ussher's calendar dates that make creationists look silly. They say silly things like "Evolution is the theoretical basis for communism." Oh really? The Communist Manifesto was published in 1848 and TheOrigin of Species was published 11 years later, in 1859. (Suggested creationist research project: find out who owned the time machine to make this possible, Karl or Charles?)

Yeah, f. Man, it'd be really hillarious, a great joke if so many folks didn't believe this crap when they hear it. It seems if a Christian authority figure says something, no matter how ridiculous, the rest of the world is supposed ooh and ah about the amazing profundity of these Christian leaders.

Well, I shouldn't just pick on Christians. Let's throw in Jews, Muslims and Hindus, too.

I could go on, But what's the point?

Can we really count Jews in that bunch? There was one charismatic leader that tried to introduce a new doctrine, but they thrashed him pretty bad. I think he was called Jesus...
