Thanks Randy. A fine story told by a neat lady. I shall forgive her for her unfortunate choice in motorcycles, but then, I don't suppose ancient, sidevalve Harleys or Indians are readly available over there (or here either, for that matter. I am blessed).
It is interesting to note that, like the Mt. St. Helen eruption, nature is quickly reclaiming the regon. Impossible to have done, of course, but I'd love to have followed a study concerning this.

I found this to be absolutely fascinating. Cool idea to go back there and to document the whole place... very informative for me, as I've seen only a few pictures from there. Fascinating documentation of the once-was Soviet empire, and the ordinary people who lived in that town of Chernobyl. Every picture seemed to have a lot to tell me. |
