I haven't seen anything in this folder for a while. I recently heard a radio interview with one of the authors of First Strike http://www.self-help-hub.com/First_Strike__TWA_Flight_800_and_the_Attack_on_America_0785263543.html
It seemed clear that at the very least the investigation into TWA 800 was not comprehensive. Interesting site: http://flight800.org
Could this have been terrorism and covered up for political reasons? Such as Bill Clintons re-election campaign.

Considering terrorism helped Bush's popularity, I'd be surprised if Clinton didn't turn an act of terrorism into a war (or at least Action-with-a-capital-A) to boost his own polls. |

In her book "Into the Buzzsaw" Kristina Borjesson, working for CBS, describes what happened to her by CBS after being assigned to the flight 800 case. The book is subtitled "The Myth of a Free Press". What she finds is evidence that the Navy, while on routine exercises, accidentally shot down Flight 800. Her attempts to report the evidence she had was thoroughly thwarted by CBS. In essence, the media was censuring itself.
Anyhow, the book makes a pretty strong case for a chicken hearted cover up. That is, CBS felt compelled to run with the official version of the flight 800 investigation and to discredit Borjesson in the process.
Without going into a full on book report, what Borjesson did was compile stories by investigative journalists who had made the mistake of researching stories that would never see the light of day. Their experiences with "The Buzzsaw".
There are plenty of sites that discuss the possibility that the Navy shot flight 800 down. So, I'm not going to bother listing any. Just search "Flight 800 Navy."
