Interesting reading.....could be in Politics or Religion......

Six of one, half a dozen of the other.....

The Bible College That Leads to the White House

These are some of the funnier quotes by the students:

"The mindset of most students is of denial of reality. They want to stay in their own, self-centered world for as long as possible."

and

"A lot of what they teach in public schools is not based in reality. I am a believer in creation," he says. Did that belief lead to a conflict with his pursuit of science? "None whatsoever. I have discussed this and spoken to many scientists and I found that there is no contradiction."

Excuse me???????

Edited to add those silly quotes

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

Al Franken

I find the idea of a college designed to churn out unquestioning, bible-waving, sexually repressed, glassy-eyed Republicans more than a little frightening.

Geez. These kids actually SIGN UP to have their web surfing monitored. Hell, I'd be kicked out of school in a DAY with the sites I visit.

The description of the campus strikes me as a bit creepy. Makes me want to think of the movie, 'The Stepford Wives'. Makes one wonder, are the children taking their conformity pills?

...no one has ever found a 4.5 billion year old stone artifact (at the right geological stratum) with the words "Made by God."
No Sense of Obligation by Matt Young

"Say what you will about the sweet miracle of unquestioning faith. I consider the capacity for it terrifying and vile!"
Mother Night by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.

They (Women Marines) don't have a nickname, and they don't need one. They get their basic training in a Marine atmosphere, at a Marine Post. They inherit the traditions of the Marines. They are Marines.
