I see that you understand; all too rare in most creationists that come here. Excellent!
The only honest answer to the origins question is simply, "I don't know." Perhaps we'll never know, although my own thoughts on the matter, as concerns biological origins anyway, is that there's a good chance that we will. I hope it happens in my lifetime.
Of course, origins have nothing to do with evolution. Evolution began afterward, immedatly after the first replicator appeared, or was created if you prefer -- there's no evidence that some sort of all-powerful entity didn't kick it off.
I'm a little behind on the literature so I don't know what's the latest skinny on it. But I'll give you a site that you might find interesting. If you're already familiar with it, maybe I can find something else. Here is the infamous....:

These folks keep up with everything that concerns the ToE and cover what little is known about abiogenesis. The site is large and contains a wealth of accurate info.
