Perhaps you could respond to my replies to your other statements and then ask additional questions.
What do you think about women's pain of childbirth being the punishment for Eve's choices? Why do you think there was no relief from that pain by merely accepting Christ? Why do you think we now have pain meds and anesthesia? Why do you think poor women in 3rd world countries who are Christian don't have access to pain meds and anesthesia during childbirth? Why do you think the Christian Church ignores the part in Genesis about suffering the pain of childbirth as a direct consequence of Eve's actions? Could it be because they would rather ignore the parts of the Bible that don't fit their belief system?
As to your question. There's been a lot of great discoveries in cosmology and I enjoy contemplating the Universe along those lines. Whether or not all of the questions have been answered does not mean we need to have the gaps filled in by god theories. So far god theories have all failed the scrutiny of scientific observation.
If you can find anything in the Bible that provides evidence someone influenced the writings other than the people who lived in the area at the time and before the time it was written, I'd be interested in hearing it. In other words, show me something in the Bible that has proven to be correct that couldn't have gotten there from men's imagination or experience.
Examples that aren't there but would have been hard to explain would be an accurate account of galaxies and stars before telescopes. Knowledge of the germ theory of disease before microscopes, (avoiding pork that might have had a basis in trichinosis avoidance as has been speculated isn't sufficient).Have any examples? |
