What exactly is happening that makes it so you can't post everything you want in a single post. The database field should allow you to post(technically!) millions of characters in one post. I did one test with gibberish and got an error for inc_functions.asp but later was able to post a lenghty email without difficulty. My concern is that the problem has to do with HTML strings inside the post but I need to know more before I can look into it.

Before I post I click preview to make sure that nothing is truncated, I check to see where the truncation occurs, and end the posts there, put a Cont... in and paste what is after that into the next post and keep repeating with that until I have it posted.
It may just be a problem with the preview function.

Tried to use the Report feature. A page came back with the message I posted but also saying something about an error. Don't know if you got it. Thank you. |

Hmmmm, no I have tested the Report feature and have not received a single error. Could you passte the error in here if it happens again?

Working at long last on this annoying problem(preview length). The problem is that the preview was passed via a cookie and a cookie can only contain so much data. I should have this working the way it's supposed to by tonight.
And you all thought I forgot

OK, I think this is now fixed. Please let me know if you encounter any difficulty in posting.
I added the spell check to the preview to try and make things easier.

I fixed the apostrophe that some of you may have noticed.

Alright, @tomic. I've noticed that you changed the Post New Reply to automatically take you to a preview page. However, when post a reply [Reply with Quote] to a specific post it gets weird. It showed some code and that was it. A change in font. I had to edit the post. I've noticed another post edited for much the same reason.

OK, too many problems with that posting "fix" so I have reverted to the code we were using. Sorry about that folks. I will keep working on it and will get it right.....eventually
