That is quite enough of that. Let's try to maintain some small amount of civility here. All of us.

You're quite correct.

My apologies Paladin.

No need to apologize, Dude. I understand that, in the heat of debate, sometimes tempers get out of control. Trust me: I've been called MUCH worse!

And we both drew a bit of blood. I must admit my "ass" reference was a calculated attempt to prompt a reaction from you so I could make a point. It was a bit of a dirty trick, and for that, I apologize as well.

But I still think Nader looks like a toad.... hehe.

I just see tremendous damage being done to civil liberty and a thorough thrashing of the economy. Four more years of W will take 20 years to recover from.

The fact remains that Nader being involved in the race increases the chance of W getting back in.

The hardcore conservatives know better than to vote for any of the fringe conservative candidates, as that would help Kerry win, and they know that their favorite insane neocon candidates don't stand a chance of winning. They will vote for Bush to ensure that Kerry doesn't get help from them not voting Bush.

Even jackholes like Pat Buchanan are pissed at Bush, but they won't vote for anyone else.... because to them Bush is better than Kerry, and they know that voting outside will hurt Bush's chance at winning the close states.

Ignorance is preferable to error; and he is less remote from the truth who believes nothing, than he who believes what is wrong.

No. A vote for Nader is a vote for Nader.

A vote for Nader isn't a vote for Bush but it is one less vote for Kerry. And he might need that vote to defeat Bush if the election is as close as the last.

A vote for Bush is a vote to approve of his war. At least a vote for Kerry sends the message to the government: we do not support the Iraq war. A vote for Nader will send the same message but it will not be a strong enough message.

A message of the later kind will not reach the intended recipient.
