I applaud Russia's decision, despite the politics behind it (and the possibility of profit). It doesn't really matter, as long as the planet benefits from it. |

The Kerry-Edwards Plan for Clean Coal(pdf)
"John Kerry and John Edwards believe that the Kyoto Protocol is not the answer. The near-term emission reductions it would require of the United States are infeasible, while the long-term obligations imposed on all nations are to little to solve the problem."
So no Kyoto from Kerry, although he likes to take credit for it.
"Unlike the current Administration, John Kerry and John Edwards will offer an alternative to the Kyoto process that leads the world toward a more equitable and effective answer, while preserving coal miners jobs."
The Johns solution seems to be American technology that will clean US and third world emissions so
"We can meet the climate-change challenge in a way that preserves and expands Americas coal sector, that keeps clean-energy jobs at home, and boost the American economy"
Which technology should remove CO2 from a coal energy plant? Where should this CO2 go? How much energy would be needed? What is the point of a energy plant?
I would like the US to sign the Kyoto Agreement but it won't happen. Here Bush is actually honest.
