okay, it wasn't Arecibo it was a wheat feild, and it wasn't a response but, most likely, a hoax... :P

I'm actually wondering what took the hoaxsters this long to come up with the idea.

I suppose one reason I'm not impressed by crop cirles is that my family use to be in the amusement business. We could assemble a whole merry-go-round in a couple of hours. A whole fair can go up in an afternoon. I know there's a lot of differences in putting up something like that and a crop circle, but I bet there are a lot of similarities too.

I'd be willing to bet it aint as hard as it seems...

It probably takes less to create crop circles than it does corn field mazes which are becoming extremely popular. Those are usually finished in a day.

He's YOUR god, they're YOUR rules, YOU burn in hell!

quote:
“It's as if the circle-making agency involved in the creation of this event has employed an almost freehand style approach with the entire formation. This method of construction has left this new style crop-glyph with effects such as shading, subtle contrasts and texture that together creates an awe inspiring masterpiece that, at the very least, must be considered exquisite art, at best this event marks a radical new twist in the rapidly evolving and quite inexplicable crop circle phenomena.” ---Charles R. Mallett

This is a small site that has field reports written by someone who actually stood in the ‘circles'. Mr. Mallett seems to be convinced that the face and glyph are not hoaxes. Interesting field report about the Milk Hill Mega-Glyph “Even the fully confirmed skeptical left brainers I've met in this massive work were totally lost for rational words…” Well 409 various size circles would be a lot of work but not impossible.

It's my understanding that the crop as been harvested and no mention of what Mr. Mallett plans on doing with the samples, or any of the other samples he has collected.
