You've all heard of the Sorry everybody website: beskeptigal even has it in her sig, I believe.

Well, here's the other (slightly over half!) of america saying that:We're NOT sorry that they voted for Bush!

Their galleries are kind of amusing, what with people holding up "stop whining" posters.

See if you can remember to get some of those posters for them when america's economy tanks, what with the war spending, job exporting, and anti-science & research policies of Bush really start to kick in!

Small comfort I know, but you'll at least be able to tell them: You asked for it!

Edit: Hah, morons! Arnold is an atheist!

I don't think most Americans have any idea how bad an idea it is to increase debt in a time of rising interest rates. It's no accident that I have no outstanding debt right now.

Comparing the two sites: The "I'm Sorry" website basically doesn't allow foul language or name-calling toward Bush. But the "I'm not Sorry" site is (of course) made up primarily of attacks, foul language, vilifying "liberals", co-opting patriotism and using name-calling against any and all fellow Americans.

It really points out the difference in mentalities. "I'm Sorry" is basically thoughtful, sometimes humorous, reflective and sometimes angry – within the boundaries. "I'm not Sorry" is crude, violent in some images, and unintelligent.

My prediction: over the next few years, "I'm Sorry" will grow at a greater rate than "I'm Not" as Bush's policies clamp down - or it will be banned by the Neoconazis. I hope the "I'm Sorry" site has protections, as it is more likely to be hacked, given the intolerance and undemocratic mindset of the "Not" crowd.

Diversity, independence, innovation and imagination are progressive concepts ultimately alien to the conservative mind.

Ah, Americans. Smart or not smart, they never fail to amaze me.

The differences are splendid, very visible. But I wonder if the "Not" folks will ever admit they were wrong. I doubt it. I honestly doubt it.

It's gratifying to see conservatives live up to their stereotype as mean-spirited bullies. Not to mention sore winners.

If Bush had lost, d'you suppose they'd all be merrily jumping on the Democrat bandwagon? D'you suppose they'd abandon everything they stand for and believe in, change their religious and political beliefs, and "stop whining"?

Uh...yeah.

Actually, I find the initiative very funny, and might have done the same in their place. And although some of the pictures are very mean-spirited, others are actually very cool. Just my 0.02 Eurocents.

edited to add: the site also clearly shows how imporant the safety-issue was for the people who voted republican.

Even if Bush had lost, I don't think Republicans should stop "whining", or the Democrates for this matter. Just because one side loses doesn't mean their opinion doesn't matter. Win or lose, you should always fight for what you believe in. You shouldn't put your fight on hold for 4 years just because everyone doesn't agree with you.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Some more sites: Apologies accepted and Sorry everybody, my ass.<~~not really "work friendly" so you may want to be slightly careful.

Great minds think alike. When I became disabled and on a low, fixed income, I got paid off ASAP. It wasn't easy and it took some time and sacrifice, but I did it. Today, I'm very glad I did. A year or two down the road, and I think I'll be even gladder.
