The museum started by AiGs Ken Ham appears to be nearing completion. Apparetnly, one of the main exhibits will be a dinosaurs and man together.
quote:
In the beginning . . . Adam walked with dinosaurs

By James Langton in New York
(Filed: 02/01/2005)

With its towering dinosaurs and a model of the Grand Canyon, America's newest tourist attraction might look like the ideal destination for fans of the film Jurassic Park.

The new multi-million-dollar Museum of Creation, which will open this spring in Kentucky, will, however, be aimed not at film buffs, but at the growing ranks of fundamentalist Christians in the United States.

It aims to promote the view that man was created in his present shape by God, as the Bible states, rather than by a Darwinian process of evolution, as scientists insist.

The centrepiece of the museum is a series of huge model dinosaurs, built by the former head of design at Universal Studios, which are portrayed as existing alongside man, contrary to received scientific opinion that they lived millions of years apart.

Other exhibits include images of Adam and Eve, a model of Noah's Ark and a planetarium demonstrating how God made the Earth in six days.

Sad.....

You left out a few adjectives filthy:

quote:
Market research companies hired by the museum are predicting at least 300,000 visitors in the first year, who will pay $10 (£5.80) each.

Scary

quote:
Mr Ham is particularly proud of a planned reconstruction of the interior of Noah's Ark. "You will hear the water lapping, feel the Ark rocking and perhaps even hear people outside screaming," he said.

Sick

quote:
More controversial exhibits deal with diseases and famine, which are portrayed not as random disasters, but as the result of mankind's sin. Mr Ham's Answers in Genesis movement blames the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School in Colorado, in which two teenagers killed 12 classmates and a teacher before killing themselves, on evolutionist teaching, claiming that the perpetrators believed in Darwin's survival of the fittest.

Twisted

quote:
Other exhibits in the museum will blame homosexuals for Aids. In a "Bible Authority Room" visitors are warned: "Everyone who rejects his history – including six-day creation and Noah's flood – is `wilfully' ignorant.''

Pathetic

quote:
Elsewhere, animated figures will be used to recreate the Garden of Eden, while in another room, visitors will see a tyrannosaurus rex pursuing Adam and Eve after their fall from grace. "That's the real terror that Adam's sin unleashed," visitors will be warned.

Laughable

This Ken Ham is a dipshit.

The adjectives that came to my mind for this multi-million dollar pile of blind codswallop really have no place in civilized discourse.

Ham is more than a mere dipshit -- take a close look at AiG. He is a fucking lunatic with one foot in Bedlam and the other on warm, hog fat.

And now for something ironic from our friends at AIG (by Gary Bates, AiG–Australia ).
quote:
I am distraught at the enormous amounts of money that von Däniken was able to raise to fund a mammoth park project that discredits the God of the Bible with nonsense.
And this gem:
quote:
Unlike evolutionary museums and theme parks, AiG's museum is not backed by major corporations or millions of ET believers worldwide, eager to see their religious views transform society.

Aha! The scales have fallen from my eyes! B'rer Bates has a tin cup screwed to the tuning head of his banjo, and is hustling small change from the faithful.
quote:
There are many ways you can assist the work of AiG (we have offices in 6 countries), and in the USA there are many ways that you can assist to get this world-class Creation Museum completed. It will stand as an amazing testimony to the fact that Christians have been willing to make a stand for the truth. I ask you to prayerfully consider how you will be involved today in this incredible project to the glory of God. With the involvement of many—even in just a small way—it will make an enormous difference. The truth really is “out there”!

And aslo plugging a book or two, and some sort of ripoff fundraiser lecture tour here in the states.
quote:
Gary Bates is the head of Ministry Development for AiG–Australia. Due to the ever-increasing amount of inquiries about UFOs and extraterrestrial life, he extensively researched the UFO phenomenon. His findings will form the basis of a landmark book called Alien Intrusion: UFOs and the Evolution Connection due out in early 2005. His best-selling DVD, UFOs, Aliens and the Bible can be ordered securely online here.

To find out where Gary will be speaking in America in late January and the first part of February, go to our US events calendar.

I 'pect he'll be washing windshields on Broadway, next.

What saddens me is that, if creation "science" is in fact better than real science, why this money is not used for research instead of gaudy museums.

Just one example. In a discussion on another forum a creationist claimed that the results of radiometric dating are random. That is, scientists actually cherry pick dates from a random set in order to conform to dates already accepted within science. I asked this creationist a simple question, "Why don't creationists test those same rocks and publish their results". The answer was that it takes too much money. Well, I guess we know where that money is spent, on propoganda.

Wow that looks pretty cool. I'll have to check it out someday!!!!

Underlying the evolutionary theory is not just the classic "stuff" of science — conclusions arrived at through prolonged observation and experimentation. Evolution is first an atheistic, materialistic world view. In other words, the primary reason for its acceptance has little to do with the evidence for or against it. Evolution is accepted because men are atheists by faith and thus interpret the evidence to cor-respond to their naturalistic philosophy.

send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

But verlch, you are indeed hurting folks. Ham and AiG is shamelessly passing along utterly false information, and that is never to anyone's benefit.

I would go to see the quality of the exhibits -- I understand that they are quite well done -- and exactly how much misinfo they contain. Rather like visiting a carnival sideshow.

Then, I'd tell Dave all about it!

Because no matter how much fact we have to back up the bible evolutionists are not impressed by any of it. They would rather believe in an uproved theory than submit to the Authority of God.
