I think I'm a little too involved here and it's burning me out. I'm losing my perspective.
I've seen it happen before, notably with Slater and Snake, who seem to be no longer with us, although I hope they lurk now and again.
So, I'll catch y'all on the flip side....

Bah, that really sucks, filthy. I always enjoyed your posts. I thought for certain you would have mentioned by now that mamal fossil they discovered that had the tiny dinosaur in its tummy. Damn interesting find...
But, I guess everyone needs a break. Just don't take too long. I might have a snake question that needs answering, then what?

Filthy, it's never wrong (although sometimes it feels fruitless) to remind people to be kind to one another. Some things transcend skepticism, even on a skeptic board.
You are a gentleman, and that's one of the highest compliments I can think of.
Take care and come back soon. |

Can't you just cut down a little? Must you leave? I hate that... And if you must, don't be gone long, eh?

We will miss your input filthy, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Hope you're back before long refreshed and ready to rock.
Just don't be surprised if I post some examples of egregious Hovinity to tempt you back! |

You have a voice here Filthy. And I am a fan of that voice. Freethinking goes where it goes in all of us. The day we become of one mind is the day when we become everything we say we are not. Whatever you do, I know you will do it with an integrity that I have come to admire. |

I will also miss you. You have a level-headedness I wish I had. And a good sense of when to draw the line.

Even a newbie such as myself can recognize a respected voice on these forums. I know that burnt out feeling and at some point it has to be addressed. Take care. |

What did I miss? I have no idea what happened so my comments apply but may or may not apply to filthy.
I will say from an experience I had recently on another BB full of Bush supporters, and Libertarians some comments I read here worry me that all are not kind when disagreeing.
Sometimes it's all you can say when you respond to the verlchs of the board, but I think some posts to our resident ghost believer, Storm are much ruder than called for. When you are on the other side of the majority, it can be an eye opener different opinions are discussed in a condescending way.
I'm not saying one has to be touchy feely when saying the belief has no basis and when making other legitimate points. It's just I think some are not always as careful to condemn the logic rather than the person. |
