Was watching C-Span this morning and saw Seb. Barbara Boxer open up a can of whoop arse all over Condi.

What is going on??????

There is actually a democrat with balls!!!!!

I hope there is more of it over the next 4 years so these pricks in the Whitehouse are exposed.

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

Senator from my State. She made us proud...

I really don't like Condi Rice.....

Condi Rice is the classic 'Yes man'. I find her repulsive. Also in Richard Clarke's book she comes across as a 'power snob'. "I'm in power, you're not." I get the same impression when I see her in public discourses. Her response to Boxer when confronted with mistakes at best and lies at worst was typical, "Don't attack my integrity," or something like that. I bet it was a planned response that was even rehearsed.

Of course it was. The republicans have very impressive spin control and some smart people to help them prep for events like that.

I wonder how she decided when to use what. After using up her, "Don't question my integrity", on the first 20 lies she was confronted with, what will be left for the next 100?

I could only stomach a few minutes of today's testimony. At least Boxer made it clear many of the admin lies were directly to the public. Too bad that goes over the Republican heads and all they hear is the spin return.

I wonder about Rice. Her performance thus far has been far from competent; poor enough indeed, to get her fired anywherre else. Is she more than just another chronic, Cabinet liar?

Nothing to be done now but sit back and see how badly she fucks up the world, I guess, but it was good to read the transcript of Boxer's questions.

I might have added: "But Dr. Rice, you have no integrity to impune."

No Democrat has the balls to call Bush and his team what they are. Criminals.

I just got an email from John Kerry (bulk form letter) indicating (not surprisingly) that he voted against nominating Dr. Rice. Here is a portion of that letter:
quote:
Earlier today, I voted in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee against the nomination of Dr. Condoleezza Rice for Secretary of State. This vote is an expression of my determination that we hold the Bush administration accountable.

Dr. Rice is a principal architect, implementer, and defender of a series of Administration policies that have not made our country as secure as we should be and have alienated much-needed allies in our common cause of winning the war against terrorism. Regrettably, I did not see in Dr. Rice's testimony before our committee any acknowledgment of the need to change course or of a new vision for America's role in the world.

He also asks that as many people as possible sign the Petition to fire Donald Rumsfeld.

So do the Dems. It just turns out the the Repubs are more cohesive and better on the attack. And, they got Karl Rove--The god of dirty tricks and Lee Atwater's best student.

Sorry, I don't like the Republican party. I'm firmly convinced that their incessant attacks during the Clinton administration, specifially 'Monica-Gate,' aided Al Qeada in the attacks of 9/11. Today, this party has renounced their "not the world's policeman" mentality and subscribed to a policy of modern colonialism, using the blood of innocent Americans as an excuse to serve the ends of corporate elitism.

I hope that wasn't too harsh...Nah!
