The evolution is a fairy tale guy, Fred Williams, has started a forum for debating Creation vs. Evolution.

http://evolutionfairytale.com/forum/index.php

As always, many Creationists have signed up, and this looks like a new place to argue. I also noticed the "debatinator" who claims to be unbeaten against evolutionists or something.

If want to know about the character of mr Fred Williams, read this:

Yes and he has a Rebuttal to that as well. When you enter this forum just copy and paste what you posted in word and then you have proof of what you wrote.

It's as easy as that.

Fred Williams, eh? Guess what? The only forums you can have an honest debate about creation/evolution are forums like ours. We don't delete or even edit posts just because we don't agree with them. We don't have nut jobs with delusions of power moderating. A fair fight on creationist forums is an oxymoron. Just look at what most evolutionists went through at Skeptic Times when Kevin was a moderator. And that site was mild. You really want to waste your time by posting to a site that will delete your post on a whim? My official position to posting on creationist sites is fuck them and forget them. Let them enjoy each others company as they are nothing more than a freaking circle jerk…

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

I hear that!

I don't much bother with it any more. Been banned too many times for small reason. I mean, what's wrong with calling Sarfati a puffed-up apothicary when you call him on his nonsense? It was only giving him his own in return (the man's a boor), but I got kicked out of that one even before the pixles on the screen cooled off. There just ain't no justice..

I had thought I might get into this one just for the giggles --it's been a while -- but they run that tiny font. It ain't worth it, to me anyway.

And that's why I love it here!

Then again, I certainly wouldn't discourage people who have the patience to post on those kind of forums, heck, I find it entertaining and sometimes enlightening- to watch. I have no idea how you guys can stand posting there... (those who do, that is)

I'm sure he probably is... the age shown on his profile is 15 years old.

Age means nothing. There's a guy at Live Wire, medjai, who's 15 and the kid is smarter than half the adults on this planet.

I've learned, young people can be pretty damn smart.

Actually in this case, age does mean something. It means less time to have been defeated in a debate, so more chance of being able to call one's self "undefeated."

I had a moderator delete my posts on another board by putting them into a closed user group forum then claimed they really weren't deleted. I have not posted there since.

Even though I have a user ID, I still felt changing or deleting posts made me personally look bad, as the posts had my relevant points. I won't post anywhere where moderators feel the need to control what is said short of profanity or similar offensive content.

From the rebuttal site:

quote:
This is true, the moderation was heavy-handed.

Before the changes, several creationists had complained that the OCW message board had deteriorated to a point where it was indiscernible from Talk.Origins.
And this means..?????

That they got too much resistance. Creationists always need their own little corner to chitchat. All the evolutionists coming round to challenge their view is very annoying for them. Were I got the feeling that evolutionists usually go somewhere to have their views challenged, creationists seem to need their own little protected corner where they can swap falsehoods without being challenged on them.

Well it didn't take long before a reply from Fred Williams made me laugh.

Scott's post was deleted. This is your first and last warning. The primary reason for deletion was this line in your reply to lionheart209:

"If it is intelligent discussion you are after, this post was hardly an indicator."

Scott, if intelligent discussion is what you are after, this forum may not be for you. ...

Do you think Fred really meant that ?

Being smart only takes you so far...

I have 10 years of experience as a Pentecotal, and 10+ years after that as (agnostic/atheist/anti-theist) life experience. That makes up the bulk of his 15 years and then some... I was baptized in church before the sperm that became him was ejaculated.

Intelligence is important, but there's a reason why the Bible teaches to respect your elders. With life-experience comes (hopefully) wisdom.
