Welcome to the SFN, Ken Avidor. I am a little ashamed to admit I had never heard of PRT, but after reading about it, I realize that the idea has been around for a long time.
I found this article at Wikipedia to be informative.
BTW: Great cartoon at your site!

When I hear the words "Personal Raipd Transit" the first thing I think of is taking my superbike to work. It's personal, and it's rapid (=too fast for cops... ) Ah.. but then it should have been "transport".
Thanks for the links Ken, and Wendy. I'll read up on PRT and come back to you. |

Thanks for the nice welcome!
I sometimes wonder what Richard Feynman would have thought about PRT.
From "Cargo Cult Science":
"They're doing everything right. The form is perfect. It looks exactly the way it looked before. But it doesn't work. No airplanes land. So I call these things cargo cult science, because they follow all the apparent precepts and forms of scientific investigation, but they're missing something essential, because the planes don't land.
