Hey atomic...is there anyway to start a chat room up on this site or link one to yahoo or something?

Yes it's something I have looked at just not hard enough. There are some awesome options out there but the best are nearly $1,000. In the meantime...I've tried to get this java mIRC chat going but somehow have made it so that each person starts their own channel rather than joining a common one.
I will need to look into that as well as finish up some of this other stuff i have been working on like an international version of SFN that translates everything, literally changes the whole site to reflect the desired language with a click of a button. Whew. But yes I do want that working and am open to suggestions.

Ender, how the hell are you? It's me Snk Eys from the AOL chat room! I have a Freethinkers group on Yahoo and as far as I know anyone with a group there can have a chat room. You just have to get people to go to it. In the past on my group as well as others I'm on, no one shows up at the same time or makes a regular thing of it. So nothing gets started.

What's going on Snake. Of course I remember you. I am doing great. I will check out the site soon.
@tomic, you should ask for contributions to pay for the chatroom. I am sure most would pitch in twenty bucks or so to get a room, I would.

Let's try out the new jIRC version when it's released. It should fix a bug that doesn't allow most AOL users to use it. I've wanted to keep things free and ad free and so has the staff and will continue to do things that way as long as possible. I mean, if I had my own server to work with would be really cool but for now this is working all right.

I think that if anybody wants a chat room, there are innumerable places on the web for that purpose. Having another chat room clone on the web seems to be a redundancy. The Skeptic Friends Netword sometimes can be pretty close to a magnificent chat room, except that it has topics (which are easily, and often, ignored).
I always want to make certain that you do not work (or worry) yourself to a frazzle about creating a superior site to your superior site. Now, right now, you should be still asleep (according to your location), so if you wake up and read this, go right back to bed and get your needed rest.
