Good to know they are doing the opposite of what their goal is, hooray for Presidential appointments.

This is crazy! The article starts out sayingquote: An internal Environmental Protection Agency report estimates the Southeast alone could reap up to $2 billion a year in benefits from reducing mercury pollution — 40 times more than the $50 million in benefits the agency projected publicly for the entire nation.
Critics said the report shows the Bush administration sought to minimize the benefits of reducing mercury pollution in order to justify not requiring power plant owners to buy the most effective technology for lowering mercury emissions.
In other words, instead of saving taxpayers billions, our fucking President would rather his precious energy companies be spared the expense of not polluting. Jesus Christ! Can there be any question that this is the worst administration this country has had in decades?!?

quote: Women who are or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers and young children, are most susceptible to mercury pollution from fish. As a result the Food and Drug Administration and the EPA have come up with these guidelines for fish eaters:
The thing is that there shouldn't have to be any guidelines at all. The mere existance of them should be a clue that something is seriously wrong with the environment, and should be dealt with.

Decades? I'd replace "in decades" with "EVER".

Yeah, but try and tell that scummy, little corporate pimp with the obviously syphilis-damaged brain in the White House that.
