Am I the only one who thinks that Laura Bush's blue comedy performance the other day is a sign that there must be some sort of huge [perhaps sex-associated] scandal that is threatening to boil over? I'm thinking in terms of proactive diversion. Look, over there, it's prim Mrs Bush saying things we would bleep if it were said on Comedy Central.

If it had been Hillary saying that Bill had jacked a horse off, the republicans would be in overdrive with the whole indecency thing. There'd be hours and hours of Hannity, Limbaugh, HatchetFace Coulter, and Oreilly all calling her down for her bestiality.

Did you hear the actual joke?
quote: Laura Bush: But I'm proud of George. He's learned a lot about ranching since that first year when he tried to milk the horse. What's worse, it was a male horse.
It is a joke about W jacking off a horse. Muttered by the First Lady.

Worse yet, it is a very, very old joke. Indeed, "Milking the bull." was used as a synonym for screwing up, although I haven't heard it in a number of years.
I rather suspect that the whole thing was carefully choreographed, rather like the 'Mission Acomplished' photo op a while back. If so, they did a pretty good job of it.
Laura apparently has previously unnoticed, stand-up comic talents. Who'da thunk it?

Oh yah. Actually I did hear it but I had forgotten by the time I saw the parody until you just reminded me. The world makes a tiny bit more sense now. |
