We do a short 7min in-between show, that is a fun romp around one strange/skeptical topic, it's the 'lighter' version of the show. We just posted our second one up, we call it Whimsicality...
Whimsicality Show #2 FORTUNE COOKIE! ==================
feed: http://skepticality.libsyn.com/rss/ web: http://www.skepticality.com/
Welcome to Whimsicality. This is our 'in-between' show, a short segment by Swoopy on one aspect of life that is whimsical, strange, or bizzare. An investigation into the lighter side of life, where non-sensical crap is fun, for just under 10 minutes.
This episode we investigate the mythos of the fortune cookie. Why does this little folded treat have that little kernel of wisdom inside? Who put it there, and what power does it really hold? Come inside, and find out!

Caught it. It was smart and funny. Reminded me of one of those cool and funny NPR segments you get sometimes on All Things Considered.
My favorite fortune cookie fortune said this:
It read, “Soon and in pleasant company” and nothing ells. So in my head I naturally filled in the missing part of the fortune. “Soon and in pleasant company you will be hit on the head by a meteorite and killed instantly…”
I do prefer a bad or unclear fortune to the usual platitudes.

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.
Why not question something for a change?

My favorite...
And I got this one; "That wasn't chicken you just ate..."
Sadly, I had just had something without chicken. It was still funny as hell though. |
