I thought a good way to introduce myself. I held a chat on practical skepticism the other night and consequently had this website introduced to me. In addition to being a skeptic, I run an interfaith society called The Nexus Online (http://www.thenexusonline.org). One day I hope to be able to afford the equipment to run rigorous parapsychological research. I'm rather sick people spoiling the name of parapsychology with shoddy research practices. I mean, with all that going on, the one time someone DOES actually do something, nobody will believe it.
This chat was held on 6/6/05 in #The_Vampire_Don on irc.everywherechat.com
Below is the outline:
I. Introduction A. Statement of the problem B. Overview of the 5 C's II. Candor A. Secrecy B. Admission of ignorance III. Clarity A. Technical Jargon B. Facts vs. Theory IV. Coherance A. Well, this is a asp-powered forum, not PHP-based. There are some differences, both in coding and in the database. @tomic is the master coder in our case, so if you have questions, he will be the most likely person to know. |
