Oh, now this is just too much! Not even I would resort to phony mud.
To what inane lengths will we go to to impress people that we don't know and will likely never see again? How deeply into the perfumed cesspool of asininity will we dive to enhance our delicate egos?
Well, there's this: quote: Spray-on dirt sold to make SUVs look 'rugged'
LONDON - Maybe your rugged SUV never goes anywhere wilder than the mall, but you can look like a wilderness adventurer with Spray-On Mud, Shelly Emling for Cox News Service reports Thursday. Excerpts follow.
Again, I fear that my species is a species of halfwits that evolution has washed it's hands of, especally after seeing the cost per quart of this stuff. That much to make your vehicle look like crap?!

This should be a service, not a product. If people will pay for the DIY version, some of 'em ought to be lazy enough to pay to have someone come out and splatter filth all over their Bloatmobile.
Could be a good business. The equipment and materials costs would be a lot lower than for the mobile car detailing guys who set up in the parking lot where I work.
It would be a lot more fun for the employees as well. |

The very instant I saw that gadget I was thinking on you, F... I know you've complained about small fonts om web-pages sometimes, and especially after being bitten by a snake. Question is: how advisable is it to drive a powered vehicle if your eyesight is so bad that you can't read the display.
It's another thing to be deaf. The other day I met a couple of bikes that were flying their gang's banner: Signers Biker-club. When you're driving Harleys, you don't need hearing to tell when you're revving on the red... One of the hard-of-hearing coworkers of mine tied a couple of iron-pots to a deaf coworker's car, who subsequently drove 13 miles of highway before arriving at his home to notice what had been done. Sweden usually has a speed limit of 70 miles/h on highways. I can only imagine the noise.
The point was: You can drive a car and yet have various kinds of disabilities compensated with modifications or electronics. Eyesight isn't one of them. Not yet anyway. |

People who require, say, bifocals will usually be fine, driving. The problem there is that their eyes can't focus on things within arm's length.
The silliness to the guage is that it's got both an oversized display and it talks. In two languages. |

Indeed. It was not meant as criticism against Filthy driving, it was more a general observation meant toward those that that have worse problems than a couple of glasses can fix. I'm so used to wearing corrections (contact lenses, specially made to stay in the eyes for weeks at a time) that I don't consider the need for them an actual eye-sight disability. (even though I my short-sightedness is so bad I couldn't drive anything, not even an bicycle without it. I'm wearing -6 corrections)

Hmm... Well I can still see some use for it. What if you're analphabetic? |

Sounds like a market for a drive through service that sprays on mud, and then takes your tire pressure.
