I ran across this story published at the Washinton Post.
quote: From the story The law requires every school that receives federal funds -- including universities -- to show students a program on the Constitution, though it does not specify a particular one.
I was wondering what the folks at SFN thought about this law.

Isn't that in part what they teach in American History and Social Studies? This band-aid on the sucking chest wound of apathy with regard to the constitution and its meaning ain't going to fix anything. People will either realize that the constitution is a decent governing document or they won't, hopefully more do than don't.

My college required that we took a local history course in which the Constitution was discussed. |
