If I was a terrorist with the means to set off an explosion, and those means are easily aquirable, by the bye, I'd strike right now!
Yes, while everybody was concentrating (at last) on NO and Biloxi, I'd load my rented (or stolen) SUV or U-Haul with as much boom as I could cram in there and head for, oh, Atlanta, maybe. Or perhaps Chicago -- it wouldn't really matter which city. I'd select a site that would cause the most disruption of services over the widest area as well as great damage, compounding the current misery and streaching aid efforts even farther.
Something to think about, hmm?

Yes, unfortunatly that pean to uselessness still lives.
The point is that if I could think of it so quickly, the various government agecies should be able to do as well. Have they? Doesn't look like it, and considering what our government has become, they might not ever...
On the other hand, I haven't heard or read of any loud, destructive noises thus far, so the terrorists might not be all that bright, either.

Then God is an idiot as well; the Big Easy will rise again and he's gained nothing except needless death. The divine enjoy that sort of thing, I've read, but it's useless in the long run.
Then again, it is said in some circles that God appointed G.W. Bush. If that is the case, he's cretinous and villainous beyond description.

| I just have to ask, if there aren't terrorist cells activating to kick us while we are down [from Katrina just passed and Ophelia to come] could it be that there just aren't that many people who hate us enough to destroy themselves in the process of hurting/killing a micro-percentage of our population? |
