I just read Filthy's article on cold reading in Skeptillaneous and it got me thinking about prophecy.
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet has Angels, Devils, Prophets, Witches, the Antichrist, Tibetans, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and Armageddon.
It is one of the funniest books I have ever read. I read it over again every couple years and I still laugh out loud.
Especially good if you have been doing alot of heavy reading and need to clear your palate. [Edited to add book link - Dave W.]

Terry Gillian was supposed to make a movie out of it, but apparently it got canceled. I was very excited when I first heard about it, and really sad when it never got further than pre-production. It's not even on IMDB anymore. |

I am currently working my way through the first five Harry Potters. By the time I get them done, I'll need a change of pace.
