Amazing. I remember chatting with you guys almost a decade ago in the AOL Atheist chatroom. You may not remember me, but my AOL name was endernow1. I was a mere 16 years old when I started chatted and you guys have gone and put together this site! Great work guys. Some names I remember from that chatroom...raycrx, tfarnon, kilgoretrout, dawn, snakeeyes, and a few more that are on the tip of my tounge.

Anyways, the site looks AWESOME!

Hi skiender and welcome!

I wasn't in that chat room but was on the old forum some years ago. I believe kilgoretrout might well be our friend and admin, Kil. Don't recognize any of the others, unless 'snakeeyes' is Snake. We do have a Dawn, but haven't heard from her in some time.

Looking forward to your input.

Cool!

Now that you're here, skiender, why don't you stay for a while and keep us company?

There's a Chat on wednesday evening (7pm Pacific Time), you might want to visit. I'm pretty sure Kil is going to be there, to confirm that he was indeed the kilgoretrout you remember.

Hey yeah, I remember you. Welcome to SFN! You are correct. That room has evolved into this site. My AOL logon is still klgrtrout1. All the regulars in the chat called me Kil even back then. Our webmaster, @tomic, is none other than raycrx. Snake visits us from time to time. Dawn was a co-founder of this site. Dawn and her brother Tommy's articles make up the heart of our creation/evolution pages. Unfortunately, they are both missing in action. I still PM with tfarnon from time to time. Deborah is also from the old chat room. She had several names she used over the years including poeticbird. Penyprity also comes by from time to time. I'm sure I am forgetting some others who have been with us from the git-go. Oh well…

Anyhow, glad that you found us. We have a regular chats on Wednesday nights and Sunday afternoon, as Dr Mabuse pointed out, if you want some real time chat action. Happy posting!

I never realized that "Kil" was short for "Kilgore Trout". Nifty. I love Vonnegut.

Or is it Kilgore Trout who was brought to life as a pseudonym of Philip José Farmer?

Yeah, that was clever of Farmer. I have a pristine copy of Venus On The Half Shell. It's a fun read. But the name comes from Vonnegut, of course...
