You've got to stop this business of questioning both sides of political arguments. The liberals are going to start calling you names, too.
Personally, I enjoy being called names by liberals. It shows me they don't have the truth to enunciate.
O.K. that was bait. Forgive me for using your comments as a trap. vrwc |

You see, my problem with "political science" is that it's the only "science" I've encountered in which regardless of my (less-than-ideally informed) assessment, half of the experts are going to concur, and half are going to say I'm a hopeless idiot for failing to see what should be completely obvious to the most casual observer. Honestly, I'm almost inclined to stick with the "less-esoteric" posts, like those about UFOs and crackpot physicists.

Wrong!
It is important, even patriotic, to question all sides of any political argument. Let the liberals fuck up as badly as out current crop of conservatives have and watch how nasty I can get with questions. I hold them to a higher standard.
The Republicans have been lallygagging around with this report and finally got called on it. It's about time the liberal/moderate portion of Congress found a little spine and stopped sucking up to the majority. But it remains to be seen how long they will retain that spine. I ain't makin' no book on it...
Erm, I know that you've been accused of hypocratcy, but when have you been called names here?

vrwc is right, there "kind of" has been name-calling going on, I see in at least one other post... it's not "personal," it's just that the "Politics" threads tend to be that way (moreso than science, for instance... although I was cited for undue nastiness in the 2nd Law Thermo/ Creationism thread, so I stopped the offensive language.) I give vrwc credit for making his case here, where he could see a "hostile audience" awaited. Solid evidence to support your views, logically bound together will win rounds here, vrwc, if you can get past the meaningless political slurs.

Vrwc presented some 'evidence' that was mostly incorrect. However, I agree that name calling isn't the least bit useful though sometimes it just happens. |
