Scratch that, I can be there, made it all the way to mid-Pennville today. Used up some ammo on the way though. |

Hold tight then, astro. Since Pennville is right next to Freyerbank, and Dave is holed up on the western edge in St. Seraphim's, we could agree to launch our first expedition to the west, up and down the border of Freyerbank and Pennville.
Also, if anyone's working the nascent Suburban Freedom Network into the UD Wiki, why not try and add us here, too. Or however it works...
And yeah, the phones are sort of fun. But with a live chat and this forum, why burn the APs? That said, I'm still going to find one... |

Well this forum is okay for broad planning, and chat would work best; I just thought that "in-game" communication when there is no chat in session might be helpfull......and fun. |

astropin, our chat room is open 24/7. Use this thread to arrange times for people to get together in-game, and use our chat room for instant comms.
At least, I'm assuming that the mobile phones in the game will use up valuable APs.
Speaking of which, I learned several weeks ago in chat that hitting "refresh" on your browser to see the results of someone else's action will use up an AP, too. So, if you want to refresh without wasting AP, click "buy skills" or some other freebie, and then go straight back to the city. |

Also, phones don't work in all areas yet. Someone has to set up a generator at the cell phone tower in your block and keep it fueled.

I just showed up there, but I didn't see you, Satrman. I see Mab and Dave, though. Perhaps you're out on a run or something.
Also, it's true about mobile phones-- they only work of the tower's up. Freyerbank's tower is in theUnderdown Building [95,85]. It's in the middle of the 'burb, and I've noticed that this is the case with other 'burbs, too, so I imagine that this applies to the whole of the city... |

Not entirely true. When you first log in to the game, your browser url should be:
http://www.urbandead.com/map.cgi
If you hit refresh when the url is just map.cgi, you won't use an ap. However, when you search for something (or do other actions), the url becomes:
http://www.urbandead.com/map.cgi?search
If you hit refresh at this point, it will be telling the server you want to search again, and would therefore use up an ap. |
Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Thanks Dave, did not realize chat was available here anytime. FYI my main guy is in Cosins Way Police Dept. in Pennville right near the boarder of Freyerbank. I've got two loaded pistols and four extra clips. I do have a guy inside St. Seraphims (Hank Thrash), but the one in Pennville can dish out more damage. |

My bad, wrong St. Seraphims. I'm besieged in the St. Seraphims of Wray Heights[64,74]

I'd just like to note that with Cune's suggestions, I've made 165 XP in the last two days. 90 of them just tonight, by healing only two people. Two new skills. Thanks, Cune! We'll see how well this strategy continues... |

How many AP's does it take to barricade an open building?
