The Human Genome Project (and the Genographic Project too, I suppose) get my vote. Together with the Internet, the Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica, the Descent of Man and The Lord of the Rings.
Pity none of them are on the list... it is somewhat limited, I think. The Hagia Sophia and the Great Wall warrant mention more than the others, in my opinion. |
