quote: "There is a vigorous debate about the war in Iraq today, and we should not fear the debate. One of the great strengths of our democracy is that we can discuss our differences openly and honestly even in times of war. Yet we must remember there is a difference between responsible and irresponsible debate. And it's even more important to conduct this debate responsibly when American troops are risking their lives overseas."
"The American people know the difference between responsible and irresponsible debate when they see it. They know the difference between honest critics who question the way the war is being prosecuted and partisan critics who claim that we acted in Iraq because of oil or because of Israel or because we misled the American people," he said.
"And they know the difference between a loyal opposition that points out what is wrong and defeatists who refused to see that anything is right," he said, adding that when soldiers overseas hear politicians questioning the mission, "it hurts their morale."
"In a time of war, we have a responsibility to show that whatever our political differences at home, our nation is united and determined to prevail," the president said.

So it's okay for the people who already support George W. Bush's terrorism to "question the way the war is being prosecuted." But those who don't agree with Bush's war of terror against the citizens of Iraq (and against the citizens of the United States), those who want it to end, are "defeatists who refused to see that anything is right."
He is a dangerous man, and if he's not removed from office, it's a certainty that hundreds or thousands more of our brothers and sisters in the military will die because of his radically misguided ideology. The blood of those already dead and of those yet to die are on his hands and the hands of those who support him.
If you haven't written your district's US representative and both of your US Senators to order them to end the war and impeach George W. Bush, you also have a share of the blame. They're all available to contact easily through online forms on the web. And if you're a real live human being who cares about these situations, have some balls. Include your name, address, and phone number in your message.

G.W. Bush can kiss my ass.
If he is allowed to frame the terms of the debate, then any voice who says he is wrong for invading Iraq will be deemed "irresponsible".
Fuck that.

The man's a criminal. Criminals often try to excuse their crimes and say whatever is self-serving. |

Yawn...Do any of you take any of his speeches seriously? Or think he's going to say anything new? Or anything of any substance? |

Exactly, Beskeptigal. The same as every other criminal that sat at his desk before him. We're saving the world, our troops are gods(except when it comes time to pay them or when they get hurt). Sure, we can debate tactics, but not the basic mission. |

There was another 'town meeting' with incredibly lame, Bush is my hero fake questions and comments. I want to know who the target audience is for that crap. Does Bush get some kind of kick out of it or is it some kind of fake pep rally material? Do they think people watching the news clips of the fake meeting don't know it is fake? You can be sure they package it up and ship it off on the news wires in neat little containers with shiny covers, at taxpayer expense of course.
Anyone who doesn't get sick watching the fake questions has to be a complete idiot so we do know the characteristics of that target audience. But really, come on! Who isn't aware the whole audiences are planted by now? |

That is a very low estimate, Star.We have at least twice again as many complete idiots in our once fair land. They don't get counted because they are too drain damaged to vote, even when their own best interests are at stake.
Pretty fucking disgusting.
