NASA's Stardust probe has landed. They are planning to have volunteers examine pictures via computer of what was collected to identify particles thought to be as old as the solar system.

I put my email address on the list. After all, I have until Spring to decide if I want to do it, and you can look at as few as 1 screen or however many more you like.

Yeah, I signed up for it a while back....

Kept meaning to post it here... just kept forgetting.

Should be very boring and mindnumbing, but somehow cool at the same time.

Its a great idea though. It would take them several years, with a fair sized team, to sort through all the images.

This should reduce the time for an initial survey significantly.
